Update on DOS stateside visa renewal pilot program that began 1/29/24

Application slots for domestic visa renewals for certain qualified H-1B nonimmigrant visa applicants remain available until all application slots are filed or on April 1, 2024, whichever comes first.  DOS has noted that their application volume was lower than anticipated and that they have been able to process cases on average in seven days, even though processing times as noted in the Federal Register notice would be four to six weeks.  This processing time could change based on application volume.
