Plan Your Florida Trip with Confidence: Learn About the State's New Anti-Illegal Immigration Law

Florida Governer Ron DeSantis announced a list of out-of-state driver's licenses that will now be invalid in Florida if the holder is in the United States illegally. This list includes:

- Delaware
- Hawaii
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Connecticut 

Gov. DeSantis has said law SB1718 is the "strongest anti-illegal immigration legislation in the county.”

In addition to tightening restrictions on national ID'S, the law requires businesses to do employment authorization checks, requiring immigrants and visitors to provide proof of legal residency. 

This law took effect on July 1st, 2023, so be aware if you are planning on traveling to Florida.
